Is flumotion package maintained?

Asked by malnati

Flumotion 0.10.0 "Fugu Sashimi" is been released since 10/10/2011.
Why are we still using 0.6.1-1.2 that is unusable?
Why is nobody at least correcting bugs resolved in the upstream version?

Xavier Queralt, a Flumotion developer, offered his help here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flumotion/+bug/638902/comments/3
Why nobody answered him?

Everything seems ready here:
https://launchpad.net/~flumotion-dev/+archive/flumotion/+packages

The maintainers are Loic Minier and Marc-André Lureau.

http://packages.qa.debian.org/f/flumotion.html

However, as they are *debian* maintainers, and the package is automatically imported into ubuntu as part of the DebianImport Freeze, they do not have write access to the ubuntu archive. The only way to do this would be to file a backports request, but there is a significant backlog there.

The debian version is still 0.6.1, so it might be best to email the maintainers as per the debian page -- if these are not attended to, then you might be able to check the package out yourself (or the devs could do it), and then request a debian non-maintainer upload (NMU).

Can you help with this problem?
