Modifications to the official package should be introduced in and they will then be incorporated in new Ubuntu releases via Debian.

Is your software already incorporated in the version 1.2 of the flashrom software on ?

If you are referring to the flashrom package in older Ubuntu releases: Ubuntu is no rolling release. This means that packages in older Ubuntu releases usually are not updated any more, except for bug fixes. So the flashrom package on Ubuntu bionic is only 0.9.9
