Flash plugin on AMD64

Asked by Christian Schürer-Waldheim

According to the changelog of flashplugin-nonfree (9.0.31.0.4ubuntu2) gutsy:

  * debian/control: produce amd64 binaries and depend on
nspluginwrapper [amd64] to make this feasible.

there should be an amd64 binary using nspluginwrapper - but the packages is not yet available for amd64.

Am I misunderstanding the changelog or went something wrong with the package?

Thanks & regards,

   Christian

I only see the i386 package here:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/web/flashplugin-nonfree

To run this on a 64 bit ubuntu you can follow the instructions of this page:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FirefoxAMD64Flash9

Note that nspluginwrapper is now available from the gutsy repository.

I should also add that there is no source or executable in the package. The plugin is downloaded from the adobe site.

The flash-plugin is in gutsy now and can be installed easily with aptitude or alike.
