I had the same issue and found a great reply here:

I followed Steven Rose instructions and installed with no problem

Hi :)

Medibuntu is a great collection of multimedia apps and codecs and stuff to help play multimedia. It's Media-Ubuntu. Unlike most other *buntu it isn't a whole distro and is just something to add in to any of the *buntu installs. Here's some info about the project
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

Sometimes that's not quite enough for Adobe Flash Player and you'll need to get the ultra-latest version directly from them at their website here
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
about halfway down their page is a drop-down list of the main Linux distros. Ubuntu is at the end of the list.

It would be great to help Linux and the BBC by participating in the beta testing of their latest iplayer project.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/labs
I think a lot of companies will be watching how this goes so do everyone in linux a favour by joining in and show that linux users can be helpful in getting their stuff working :) Also that should make it possible to access some great movies and stuff :)

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

I think you want to install the flashplugin-nonfree_10.0.15.3ubuntu1~intrepid1_i386.deb

Open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

sudo apt-get --reinstall install flashplugin-nonfree

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Hope this helps
