Installing Adobe Flash Player

Asked by Sheldonwilliams

The instructions at the Adobe website are not too clear:

Unpackage the file. A directory called install_flash_player_9_linux will be created.
n terminal, navigate to this directory and type ./flashplayer-installer to run the installer. Click Enter. The installer will instruct you to shut down your browser(s).

when I open terminal, what directory do I navigate to? and how do I navigate there?

Flash Player can now be installed by just clicking the empty movie placeholder (with the jigsaw piece) in Firefox, and following the instructions, like in other operating systems for which the player is available.

If this doesn't work for some reason, the following instructions may help you: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/flash
