youtube sluggish on samsung netbook n100

Asked by Neil

I have a Samsung Netbook N100 and I use firefox as my default browser. Everytime I run youtube, the videos are laggy and sluggish especially on fullscreen. I tried to use Google Chrome and I/ve got the same issue. I've also tried to take off the cache limit on ubuntu based on the solutions provided at this link http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1987116. Youtube was working fine before.

Any possible resolutions would be very much appreciated.

try:

sudo apt-get --purge remove flashplugin-installer

Then enable the partner repo and install adobe-flashplugin

You can also try installing minitube and use that. Also try the Unity2D session from the login screen.

Can you help with this problem?
