ubuntu 7.10 installing a flash player

I have ubuntu 7.10 installed on my pc and I cant download any flash players I have tried several different ways and nothing is working.

You can't because Ubuntu 7.10 is no longer supported. See here what version is supported:

I STRONGLY suggest you to upgrade to a newer version, because you haven't any security update with this version.
