To install flash, enable the partner repo then instal adobe-flashplugin. You will have flash in either i686 or x86_64

The password you're asking for to install software is the same password you'd use to log in to your Ubuntu system or to unlock the screen. It is the password that you set when you installed Ubuntu (if you haven't changed it). If you don't remember it, you can reset it (http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/resetpassword).

If you downloaded something manually with which to install Flash, then you should probably not use that. You should do it the way actionparsnip has suggested, instead. (You'll probably still be asked for your password, though.)

Can you help with this problem?
