Please note that while the command actionparsnip gave you will tell you the version of Ubuntu you are running (as well as some other information), you should really post that information here, so actionparsnip (or someone else) can provide instructions for a good way for you to install the Flash player plugin.

If you have no Flash player plugin installed already, then the best thing for you to do would probably be for you to enable the partner repository and install the package called adobe-flashplugin. This is especially the case if you are running Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot, and even more especially the case if you are running the 64-bit version of Oneiric. If that is confusing or doesn't enable you to get Flash installed yourself, then please do make sure to provide the information requested by actionparsnip.
