Help my system said updates available clicked update and i have now lost adobe flashplayer 10 even though my system says it is installed

can you give the output of:

dpkg -l | grep flash; dpkg -l | grep gnash; dpkg -l | grep swf; uname -a; lsb_release -a

sorry I have no clue what any of that means ALL I did was update the security notices and updates sent to me from Ubuntu and now I have no flashplayer even though it shows that it is installed

Applications -> Accessories -> terminal

Paste the command into terminal and press enter, copy the output and paste here as an update
