The bug has been fixed. I believe the user just needs assistance in locating/installing the fixed package from the proposed repo.

The easiest way to update the package is clicking the following link to download it and then opening the file in your file manager: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/firmware-addon-dell_2.1.0-0ubuntu2.10.04.1_all.deb

You can also enable the entire proposed repository, but then you will get all of the updates in it (which you may not desire): https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed
