Firestarter will not start firewall on WIFI.

Asked by laptoplinux

I am able to successfully use Firestarter when connected via lan cable (Eth 0) but when I use the wifi (wifi0) it will not start the firewall on that interface. I get a "Failed to start firewall the device wifi0 is not ready...".

However, The Firestarter GUI under the Network headings sees and is monitoring traffic on wifi0.

Suggestions?

Based on the results from my Googling this appears to be a bug so I am converting it.

This is still a problem for me but now in Firestarter I see additional options for:

Unknown Device wif0
Unknown Device ath0
Unknown Device pan0

if I select ath0 Firestarter functions as expected so I will close this thread but keep the bug report open unless otherwise instructed.
