firejail package

firejail wont run an app linked from ~home to another partition

I have a small SSD 32Gb containing xubuntu 18.04 and /home
Dropbox and thunderbird have links in /home/peter to a hard disk.
They run perfectly but wont run with firejail. Any ideas?

Does it work if you run:

firejail --private=$HOME thunderbird &

Do you get any useful output?
