Pelase try...

Clean firefox mozilla profile

Close all opened Firefox and try to delete your Firefox user setting open a terminal and type:
mv .mozilla .mozilla_old
and restart Firefox.

If you have a lot of bookmarks please export them before move your setting directory, then import them again from saved file into Firefox.
Also take note of your installed Firefox extensions, to reinstall them.

if this works then delete the .mozilla_old directory, from terminal, type:
rm -fr .mozilla_old

hope this helps

It seems something has happened..
I sum what I have done:
I got a new firefox as you have suggested in the first part of the message: I have lost bookmarks but I have just saved.
Then I do not know if I could delete the old one because anything happened when I write in terminal the part:
rm -fr .mozilla_old.
What is your opinion?
In any case I thing it is going better!

I thank you
P.

All good !

The terminal don't get back any error when a command is execute with success...

So if you now type:

rm -fr .mozilla_old

(rm is a command to remove the .mozilla_old directory) you will get an error because you have already removed the directory and the directory doesn't exist more.

To get terminal useful info and usage help https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UsingTheTerminal

Best regards.

No, I am sorry.
The terminal does not give any error after typing 2 or more times the command.
I got success on mv. old setting because I use a nother application that can also work as terminal flagging a box, but I do not remember which application is:
I have hard times with terminal and the documentation is old...
So I can not remove because I can not execute, can you understand me?
Thank you in advance
Yours sincerely
Paolo
