hulu and youtube no full screen video

Asked by Richard A Bevis

Help,
I am running Karmic with Compiz on my laptop and can't view hulu and youtube videos full screen. I've tried unchecking the unredirect full screen windows in Compiz and even removed the program (Compiz) and neither worked. On my desktop that never had Compiz installed full screen works fine. Both have Adobe flash 10.0 r42 installed. As always, any help is greatly appreciated, even sympathy.
Richard

Alright so I think the problem is either compiz or flash player. Try
this: Right click on your desktop -> Change Desktop Background -> Visual
Effects and then click on no, then try youtube, if that doesn't work you
can reverse the settings back to where they were, under visual effects
you can change that back to normal. After that the other problem is with
the flash player, which might be a bug so in that case, you'll have to
wait :)
