How do I properly install flash on a 64 bit Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala amd64 beta

Asked by Daniel Stone

Acording to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/Flash it gives instructions on how to install flash for a 64bit system but I have used this method and it does not allow me the functions in the player like Full Screen or Pop out even though the video has the capabilities in 9.04 is there something special I need to do.
My video card is recognized and have desktop effects on
Karmic Koala 9.10 amd64 beta
intel q8200
nvidea Geforce 9400GT
Gigabyte GA-EP43-UD3L/US3L
