no video when on internet

I can not get video when I am on either youtube, or msnbc, for any other site. What do I have to do to get the video

Go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

Search flash

Look for flashplugin-installer

Right click Mark for installation

Click Apply

If your browser is open, close it and open it back up.
