You should look at firefox addon page and choose one you like. Or review your 'installed addons' to see if the one you think you have has been disabled.

From firefox, select 'tools -> Add-ons.

Been there, done that, let me count the ways... 1000, 5000, etc.
Download Helper seems to be all that applies. However, it only wants to
do conversions...
NOT assist in a download like an ICON I once had on the "kicker" bar.

Tks,

Ray

why not use youtube-dl

sudo apt-get install youtube-dl

Then find the address of a video you want and run:

youtube-dl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d85p7JZXNy8

To download the file.

Or you can use this addon:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10137

Tools - Add-ons - Get add-ons

and then use the search tool to look for the type of thing you want. I think i quite liked "DownloadHelper". I think any of the ideas people have posted here so far will work :)
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

Oh, i thought that with DownLoadHelper you just right-click on the movie itself or the little triangle beside the icon/button that lets you choose loads of different things you can do with the movie?

Yep, Tom I use the same one, works great, YouTube, Vimeo, other sites...and it sits right beside my google search for easy access. I use it on Windows and Ubuntu equally.

Ray, you may want to take another look.

Can you help with this problem?
