ok i solved it !!

from synaptic package Manager I removed:
1) adobe-flashplugin
2) swfdec-mozilla (Mozilla plugin for SWF files (Macromedia Flash))
3) libswfdec-[version] the

Then i reinstalled lastest adobe-flashplugin

everything works now
i think there is a problem with mozilla swf decoder or an incompatibily with adobe flash player plugin

Same happened to me. All I had to do was uninstall "swfdec-mozilla" and "libswfdec-0.8"

I can confirm that all you need to do is to uninstall "swfdec-mozilla" and "libswfdec-x.x". Make sure you have the latest adobe-flashplugin installed in the correct folder (/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins for me, Ubuntu 9.04).

Thanks for the valuable info!!

Same problem happened to my Ubuntu.
I only uninstalled following installation on my "Synaptic Package Manager":
- swfdec-mozilla
- libswfdec

(We can get into the Synaptic thru System>Adiministration>Synaptic Package Manager).

And now I can see the Facebook video again.

Thanks again.
