Firefox problem need attention

I am not sure to understand your question. Right click is by definition the way to open a contextual menu. As its name suggests, a contextual menu depends on the context. If you right click on a web link, you will get a list of things you can do with a web link, such as open in a new window, or bookmark the URL. If you right click on a link leading to a pdf file, you'll be asked whether you want to open it with a specific software or save it on your disk. If you right click on an email address, you'll be asked if you want to send a mail to this address (so you would need to setup evolution to do so, since evolution is the default mail reader in Ubuntu).

Can you explain exactly what is your problem, and exact steps to reproduce it?

Yes it happens to me too, but this is normal ; you are right clicking fast, when you want to open the link in new tab , click slowly but if you don't like that, when you right click don't let the button until the menu shows itself. and while doing thatmove the mouse and click left one on what you want.

The only explanation to this is that firefox doesn't make a delay between the click event and showing the menu event.

I explain the same thing again

If i want to open a link in new tab, I right click the link and choose the open in new tab option. Thats ok

Say I am searching a link in google and want to open it in new window
When I right click some link evolution setup (sometimes save as or bookmark window etc) is opening
I have to close it
and then right click again
to open that in another tab menu(sometime again evolution setup or bookmark etc will open and I have to close and do again)

This makes my browsing session boring

How to get rid of this?

I am sorry but I cannot figure out if what you describe is normal or is a bug. Do you mean that for instance the bookmarks window opens just by right-clicking on a link? Can you please give a simple example of steps to follow to reproduce this behavior? (like "open firefox, type www.google.com in the bar, right click on this link", etc). What is your version of Ubuntu?

I had the same problem in ubuntu 8.10 now I have upgraded to 9.04

for first four times I did not get that open in new tab menu
I am getting as shown in the screenshot
I closed the save as window for four times and tried again and again

Fifth time I am getting open in new tab menu

This occurs only for some links in google

 According to me, Firefox is crazy for some links, sometimes it opens in
new window or sometimes opens evolution setup or save as windows
(illustration given) or bookmark window

If you was to reproduce this, try this for some 30 links in google search you will find couple of links will produces faults for no reason

I told there is no solution for that , except slowing down the right click !! Me too I suffered from that , and sometimes it stills happen .
