Plugin's not working for Firefox 3.0.5 in Intrepid

Asked by James Usmar

Binary package hint: firefox

Hello,

I've set up a default install of Ubuntu (Intrepid) for my son, and we started firefox (3.0.5) to load the Cbeebies children's website. On loading the page below we keep getting multiple plug-ins required - fine - but then it only installs one at a time. Once you go round and round installing all of them, in sequence, it still doesn't work.

Any advance on how to fix it?

PS please can the Adobe reader/flash etc be supported for Ubuntu via a default "support source" - I cannot get them to install from Adobe.

Best wishes and thanks,
James Usmar

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs .

You can install all the restricted plugins at once (flash, java) by installing the ubuntu-restricted-extras package.
