Firefox crashes on logout

Asked by Mike Jing

Release: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS (Xubuntu)
Firefox version: 79.0+build1-0ubuntu0.20.04.1

Every time I logout or shutdown the system with firefox open, it will generate a crash report in about:crashes. However, there is no crash dump in /var/crash.

I noticed this before I upgraded from 18.04 LTS recently, and at first I thought the crash went away after the upgrade, but sadly it's not the case.

Can someone please confirm this? Is this the same bug as bug #73536 ( Mozilla Bugzilla #336193)?

Yep. Just tried it, exact same thing happened with a fresh new user.

Then its not settings, its the application. I suggest you report a new bug if the one you linked in the original post is not identical.

Booted my laptop. The pc has booted but i didn't shut to peer if the problem is fixed as I had paintings. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fscrypt/+question/692541
So it is not a hardware problem. Its surely a boot hassle rest all is suitable. Sometimes ubuntu panicked on the time it boots. There is some thing taking place that needs some solving https://bestwatersoftenersystem.com/

Can you help with this problem?
