Why do secondary firefox page open at 1/4th size?

Asked by Gary Kline

Guys, this has been happening for at least 6 months. Hopefully, some "true wizard" can explain WHY the second (and following firebox window open at roughly 1/4-terminal size? I *can* open the display to full-size by clicking on the tiny square in the upper right corner, but I have only one hand and my left shoulder is Sore.

Anybody have any idea[s]??

TIA

Gary Kline

Sorry, but i do not understand this email.  Can you explain what I need
to send you so the situation is cleared up?  E.g.: fill in some of the
"apt-cache" line in more detail using whatever info fits.  I am using
Release 19.10.

HEre is where I get stuck.  And where things shatter.

sense.

I suggest that you try the following:

Close all Firefox tabs and windows and start Firefox again with a single tab.
Does it open in full screen mode, or in a smaller window?
If it is full screen, click on the second icon in the top right corner to switch from full screen to windowed mode.
What size is the window? Is it also only 1/4 of the screen?
If is is small, drag the corners to make the window as large as possible.
Then switch back to full screen mode and close Firefox.

Now start Firefox again and open secondary windows. Any change?

I always get the first firefox window full-sized.  Thereafter, each is a
fraction of the first window.  My screen is 23"; any firefox winow is a
fraction.

((Note that on my 2nd button thru 4 button Ihave Fedora.  I have been
using Fedora for only moths; I prefer Ununtu.  Currently, the Fedora
installations are *off*.

I have tried this several times; and just did again.  The first
screen--first time: Full size.  Every other screen is "squareish" but
about 0.25" size.

Done.

The time here is close to 09:00.  Give me ten minutes to test what you
suggest.
