window 7 theme

Asked by Ralph

I guess that's not wanted but in Ubuntu 9.04RC the font color in the menu bar (NEW WAVE theme) is black on grey (badly readable) while in other applications the font color is white (much better readable). Is this wanted?

Regards, Ralph

Probably not. I don't thing the New Wave theme is fully tested and complete yet. I think there is a firefox plugin called "stylish" that can allow you to change FF's interface colors, though I've never tried it myself.

New Wave is tested for long enough (~1 year) and this issue is caused by Firefox not inheriting correct colors from the gtk theme.

The only possible way to fix this right now is to use the theme I have created:

Same goes for OpenOffice.org: it does not inherit the colours from gtk+.

Are there bug reports about programs that don't inherent themes correctly? Url links or direct link using the tool at the top right of the thread "Link to existing bug-report" would be helpful. If there aren't could any of you post new bug-reports about these?

Thanks, good luck and regards from
Tom :)
