Startup Screen position of Browser (Firefox)

Asked by clombard

Who decided we all want to start Firefox lined up in the upper left corner of the computer

screen...?

I tried different settings but it always appears way up yonder using Ubuntu!

Is there a way to have 8.04 act like every other OS and have the browser just re-open where it

last was...?

When I open the browser (firefox) in 8.04 it appears lined up on the computer screen in the upper left side (always).  Normally a browser will open in exactly  the same position and size of where you last closed it.
Is there a way to have the browser open exactly as when you last used it?
Attached is a screen shot of where it opens each time.
thank you.

Surely there MUST be a way to do this?
How come some applications DO remember where they were last time they were open?
Pidgin is a good example, it always opens in the place I closed it - same position, same size.
