I downloaded ff3.1 beta 3, right clicked, etracted and now have ff sitting there on my desktop with a bunch of folders. How do I make this beta work now?

Did you download source?

Well then you have to "make" it. Something like this (or google for more info)

go into the folder and type

sh configure
make
make install
