I am told that there is a way to set FireFox so that it emulates IExplorer.
Normally, I wouldn't want to do this but, there are several application where IExplorer is required for the application to work and I'm wondering how to get Firefox to emulate IExplorer. I haven't been able to see how to do this and therefore have doubts that it can be done!

An extension of Firefox called User Agent Switcher allows to change the browser's user agent. So you can trick websites that behave as you use Internet Explorer or other browser.
Read carefully the documentation because it doesn't work always: http://chrispederick.com/work/useragentswitcher/documentation/

I hope to satisfy your request.
Marco.

The User Agent Switcher should work. It does not emulate IE, but it does trick websites into believing that you are using IE. With this tool you can access websites that are 'IE only', such as bank websites....
If this doesn't work you can go here:
http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/ies4linux
and follow the guide on how to install IE on Linux.

User Agent Switcher addon tells web servers what you want it to. e.g. I am running Internet Explorer on a Vista machine; i.e. it mis represents the browser and/or the operating system if you tell it to. It does not however provide IE functionality and if that is required then it might not solve the problem. There may be other addons available on addons.mozilla.org

Can you help with this problem?
