Did firefox not popup its information bar regarding plugins you may require? I suggest perhaps removing the packages for JRE and seeing what, if anything Firefox suggests for that particular page.

I have removed JRE and tried to access the game one more time, It does not pop-up any message asking for a plugin. the thing is now, it also does not work in Opera!

Hello

1. Open synaptic package manager.
2. Search for all the packages which have the word gcj in them and sort the packages by 'installed' so that the installed ones come at top
3. Completely remove all these packages. Make sure you are removing only packages which have the word gcj in them and their description says its for java.
4. Restart firefox Now it should say you have a missing plugin and prompt you an installation. Install the missing plugin and MAKE SURE you chose sun java and NOT gcj.
5. Restart firefox

Make sure you have allowed popups in the web site

Regards.

Ok, I have found all the gcj packages but how do I sort them by "installed" none of them are marked as installed!

If none are marked as installed then..they are not.

In the package manager again, search for sun-java6-plugin, if this is not installed, install it, it will most probably ask to install its dependencies too. This is the meta package for using the java plugin in a number of browsers.

How to install Java

To install sun-java6
Be sure all software sources are selected under menu: System->Administration->Software source: Ubuntu software

Then open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo aptitude update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo aptitude install sun-java6-jre

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Hope this helps

Ok, I have installed sun-java6-jre and the issue is exactly the same as before. In ff I can not even open the game but in OPera it opens but buttons are missing. I have tested Java on java.com and it says that it is not working. Does it have to be enabled anywhere?

http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml?ff3

This page tests to see if the JRE is working on your computer.
This test applet, written with Java technology, displays information about your operating system, the JVM and the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

It may well be an issue with the particular site, provide a link to the game, so it can be tested by other people to see if the problem is repeatable.

the site URL is : http://www.kurnik.pl and the game name is "tysiac"

when I login to the site and go in to one of the groups, then I choose a table where I can play. i join the table fine, but when i raise the points there is a smoall window applet that pops up where you choose the point and this is where I am not able to see it.
