Uninstallation

C: drive holds Windows XP SP2
D: drive holds Ubuntu
Grub is somewhere.
I need to uninstall Ubuntu and reclaim drive D: for Windows.
Any help will be gratefully received.
I intend to return to Ubuntu later.

Grub is probably in your master boot record of your C drive. I'd recommend redoing your master boot record from your Windows Recovery Disks. I believe you need to do: fdisk /fixmbr

After your boot record is fixed and you know that Windows is booting without grub you should be able to format your Ubuntu drive via the tools within Windows. I believe there is a Drive Manager some where under Computer Management. The easiest way to get to computer management is to right click on My Computer and the left click on Manage
