My thanks to Alan Pope and Matt Medland for guiding me through the process of enabling MP3 support in my Amarok Music Player. Though I had a few problems, I eventually succeded thanks to the pointers you offered. I intend to persevere with the use of Linux as it develops into a more user friendly OS.
