Firefox not starting in linux when I click on the icon

Help, when I click on the firefox icon a black screen flashes on my PC and nothing happens.

I am able to get firefox running by opening up a link to a web sight in evolution only.

When I right click on the icon i get a bunch of stuff. Does it have something to do with the command setting?

Could you please try to open Alacarte Menu Editor and tell us which command line Firefox menu entry is using?

If you open up that file in gedit what does it say? That might give us a clue.

Hello, Did you try to open firefox using terminal with "firefox" command?
