I am using ubundu7.10 and FF2.0.0.12. The system hangs when I go to the login page of yahoo mail. Can anybody help to solve this problem

Mozilla firefox works with all most all sites I browse. But as soon as I browse login window of the yahoo mail pages it hangs. I have to restart the computer again with reset button. I could not check my mails. The problem is very irritating. I am a beginner of Ubundu and so can any one give clear guidelines so that the problem can be fixed.

Hi,

Try clear the cache, cookies and authenticated session by selecting Tools>Clear private data.
Hopefully it works.

If after cache and cookie clean you are still in trouble please:

Close all opened Firefox and try to delete your Firefox user setting open a terminal from applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:
mv .mozilla .mozilla_old
and restart Firefox.

If you have a lot of bookmarks please export them before move your setting directory, then import them again from saved file into Firefox.

if this works then delete the .mozilla_old directory, from terminal, type:
rm -fr .mozilla_old

Thank you for your guidance. But it did not solve my problem. My problem was solved after I downloaded GrandParadiso/3.0a8 web browser(mozilla firefox version 3.0) from synaptic package manager(Menu>system>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager.
