SWF file caused a fatal error in the swfdec decoder

Asked by Bharat

It is happening since day before yesterday,

When I visit the web;

1. The Firefox browser crashes

and/or

2. Displays the message "SWF file caused a fatal error in the decoder. This likely means that there is a bug in swfdec."

Please help, as I am new to Linux, so could you please help / direct / guide, step by step elaborately ?

Thanking you in anticipation,

Bharat

Are you running the 64-bits version of Ubuntu?

There is no version of Flash of the x86_64 architecture. However, you could run a limited i386 system inside your x86_64 machine. It is not a straightforward solution, but it works.
