i cannot get my computer to reset settings

the bar at the top when i am online does not have the space to type in websites anymore....
what can i do to fix this....i am not very computer savy

Press F11. I assume you mean Firefox web browser.

Hi Joseph. Right, I'm also think, that you are using the Firefox. Anyway, you could try to enable so-called "Navigation Toolbar" option. So on a Menu Bar (containing e.g. File, Edit, View etc.) choose: View --->> Toolbars --->> and select Navigation Toolbar. In a situation, where you're using a new, modern FireFox look, just click on a orange "Firefox" button then choose Preferences and select Navigation Toolbar.
