corrupted firefox browser
how can i get an firefox update from Ubuntu that brings firefox back to normal again as a actual browser again-- instead of a pure google search site as now only bookmarks will open directly in firefox browser i cannot copy and paste a web address into firefox
addresses i copy and paste in Cromium browser are unaccessable in firefox as google rejects it i donot want to lose bookmarked addresses
Firefox opens without any area to post a web adderss except the google seasrch bar nor can i copy a web address from firefox as no area shows a copyable address of web site i am on

First of all , take a backup of your bookmarks...
Then try to reset firefox..
Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox
see then if works as it should.
Also give more details please
Open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and copy-paste from here the commands below and post back FULL results
dpkg -l | grep -i firefox
lsb_release -rcd ; uname -rm

Hello,
Well if you are unable to view the "Navigation Bar" in your firefox, please check the tab above VIEW / OPTIONS > Navigation Toolbar . It must be check there.
