& What version of Ubuntu do you have?

In Dash - Language, install new, select spanish, ok, installing, done, put this language at top of the list, use all sistem. Reboot user, done.

In terminal write:

sudo apt-get install aptitude

sudo aptitude install language-pack-es language-pack-es-base language-support-es

sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

sudo aptitude install aspell-es myspell-es

sudo aptitude install openoffice.org-help-es

sudo apt-get install openoffice.org-l10n-es

sudo aptitude install manpages-es
