problem in viewing online streaming video content

Asked by parveen nasa

Dear Sir,
I am using Ubuntu 11.10.
I am trying to watch online streming videos on our company's website. It shows that Microsoft silverlight is required to watch the videos. I searched further and found that Moonlight is the Ubuntu equivalent of MS Silverlight. I installed this plug-in into Mozilla browser successfully. But still it shows the same message.
Please note that there is no issue with Youtube. It is working fine.
Kindly suggest.
best regards,
parveen

Moonlight and Silverlight are different. Silverlight supports DRM (Digital Rights Management); Moonlight does not. This may be why it is not working. This is the reason that the Netflix website won't work on Ubuntu. If your company webs requires DRM then Silverlight wont work
