Popup message Certificate authority's certificate is invalid

Asked by Sukhendu Ghosal

When I am trying to connect my laptop with internet in some application and during update, a popup message is showing that Certificate authority's certificate is invalid & the root certificate authority's certificate is not trusted for this purpose .
And just bellow of that message there is is buttons
1. Details 2. Continue 3. cancel .

What is the problem ??

Can you give the output of:

sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade

ok and if you run:

sudo apt-get --reinstall install nano

Is it smooth with no errors? If so, run:

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Is that smooth too?
