It may work in Wine. It's not listed in the appdb however. You could contact kik to see if they can advise or are thinking of supporting Linux.

Kik is a smartphone based application, therefore I doubt it would work in Wine, seeing as how it's a runtime for windows applications.

Though they do have a WP7 based version of Kik, I'm not sure if any metro apps work in Wine.

Should have added this to above, sorry about the spam, but there is a way to use Kik, via bluestacks, the windows based android runtime, so if you could get bluestacks running in Wine (good luck, i haven't tried, appdb says it's garbage, you could try it in a vm, but that's too much overhead)

Another alternative method would be to use virtualbox and boot into the Android x86 project, it supports most apps that use the android arch, things like instagram and stuff that requires certain devices won't work though

Just a couple of ideas for you.

Also mouse integration for android x86 is very lacky, I would suggest using a second hardware mouse and use that solely for the vm if you try that.

Can you help with this problem?
