Firefox 2.0.0.11 problem

Asked by Alwyn

After installing ubuntu 7.1 everthing worked 100%. Then I allowed the automatic updates to update Firefox from 2.0.0.6 to the new 2.0.0.11 and now I can't open up the following site propperly: vodacom4me.co.za. Most other sites still work but this site has suddenly lost all detail info (pictures etc.) After forcing firefox to downgrade to version 2.0.0.6 it works again. Going back to 2.0.0.11 causes the same problem again confirming that the problem is with the latest version. I also get the following message when trying to enter the "Settings" link on this website: XML Parsing Error: not well-formed

The problem seems to be with the fact that I allowed updates from ALL repositories. Allowing only updates from "UBUNTU SECURITY UPDATES (GUTSY-SECURITY)" solved the problem with Firefox 2.0.0.11. Please see BUG 172368.
