Ubuntu

Can't clear url history

Asked by Clark D. Barkley on 2012-07-20

When I delete the history using the history cleaner from the toolbar, and also by using Bleachbit, my browsing history is not completely cleaned. If I use the dropdown box on the url window, there is nothing there, however, if I start to type a site I've been to, it will completely populate, and show the names of the sites that are similar to what I am typing. I have deleted the bookmarks as well, but with the same results. I am using Ubuntu 12.04. If you need more information, please let me know.

Which browser are you using? Kind of important to know that.....

I am using Firefox 14 .0.1, for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0 on that computer.
