Can not open a link from a sight while on Firefox

Hello

While I was on the Internet Mozilla Firefox I received an eMail with a link. When I clicked the link I got message to change the proxy settings which I changed to no proxy but I still cannot access the link. It seems that xubuntu does not support desktop environement. Any way we could solve this problem so that I can access the link.

This may help. Install User Agent Switcher 0.7.3. This is at Firefox*Add-ons Manager*Plugins*type in user agent.

Xubuntu doesn't support desktop environment makes zero sense. Xubuntu is the Ubuntu OS with the XFCE desktop....

What app did you click the link in?
Do you or have you ever used a proxy for web access?

The problen has been solved. it seemed that the problem was from the sender of the link
