Where are my games

Asked by Barbara Maver

Hi

This is probably a really stupid question with an obvious answer but I can't see how to play the games.

In the Ubuntu softwear there are some games you can play. I used to be able to find them on older versions of Ubuntu but now I don't know how. I don't mean facebook games just the ones in Ubuntu softwear. I can see there are 624 games but I don't know how you access them.

I think that there must be a method of selecting a game to play but I don't see how to do it.

Just press SuperL (aka 'Windows key') and search there.

What games did you install, and how?

Hi On Ubuntu 12.04 there is a colum down the left hand side. It has the web browser i use (firefox) a home folder a music player some office folders and a softwear centre.

If you open the softwear centre there is a list of different types of softwear you can instal. Among them are games. You click on games and then you find various types of games and can easily instal them or remove them. On older versions of Ubuntu you could find the games installed listed and click on one to play. With this version I can see the games in the software centre but I don't see how you play them.

there should be a games option on the right of dash, or press ALT+F2 and type it's name.

Hi
I couldn't find a game option to the right of dash but pressing ALT and F2 I got the applications up on the screen and was able to pick out a game.

Thanks action parsnip.
