spell checker on Firefox is missing

I have Firefox on Linux Mint and it corrects spelling whe I post. However on Ubuntu there is no spell checker. How do I turn it on ?

Lately FF in Ubuntu has spell checking enabled but no lang selected. To check -
highlight a word like in a reply here, right click on

"Check Spelling" should be enabled, if so directly below is "Languages"
Expand that & make sure a lang is selected

Sometimes different sites need to be individually reset
