It should be possible. Do you mean an actual phone (hardware) or a sip phone (software). I have used X-Lite 3.0 Softphone for other providers - free from counterpath.com. the settings for voipcheap are given at http://nyworldphone.wordpress.com/?s=x-lite as:

VoIPCheap.com Note: Sign up for a SipDiscount.com account using the link in the upper left hand corner of the VoIPCheap.com homepage.
Enabled: Yes
Display Name: Enter your own name
Username: Enter your SipDiscount username
Authorization User: Enter your SipDiscount username again
Password: Enter your SipDiscount password
Domain/Realm: sipdiscount.com
SIP Proxy: sip1.sipdiscount.com
Out Bound Proxy:
Use Outbound Proxy: Default
Send Internal IP: Never
Register: Default

Hi Avni,

If it's the software part that you would like to get running in Ubuntu, I would say "yes" it is possible.
I haven't had a look at voipcheap for quite a while now but I wrote a short tutorial on the ubuntu forum
if you would like to have a look at it: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=309218&highlight=voipcheap

Back then I used Ekiga which comes with Ubuntu and is installed by default and got voipcheap running
via Ekiga using a analog headseat.

Have a look it might help you...

regards
Andrew

Try X-lite from http://www.counterpath.com/x-lite-downloadsurvey.html

It crashes on GDM (Gnome Desktop Manager) on my Unbuntu 8.04 and they don't support Linux anymore.

Can you help with this problem?
