Firefox bookmarks not working properly

Ubuntu 12.04 and Firefox 13. When bookmarking a website I am not able to save the site to the Bookmarks Toolbar. When clicking "Bookmark this page" the dialog box does not appear to place the bookmark on the bookmarks toolbar. It only allows for saving the bookmark normally. After doing so I can physically drag it to the toolbar but this is not normal. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you use Unity2D session, does it appear?

Don't know what Unity 2D session is. I will look into it.

Don't know what Unity2D is. Guess I will check it out.
