What is the software? You downloaded from internet and not Ubuntu Software Center.

Can you give the output of:

sudo apt-get update; lsb_release -a

Thanks

i download it from the internet not ubuntu software center. For example when I try to download Vtech software or music download software it doesnt allow me to open it. It will download but wont let me open it.

Can you give a link to this 'vtech' please...

Thanks

I have no clue to your computer experience.
It is important to give actionparsnip output request. If you do not know how, tell me. Will answer.
Also need vteck link. Only thing, I could find, they sell hardware.
music download software it doesnt allow me to open it. From your question.
Ubuntu Software Center has music download software. Windows software like Roxeo will not work.

Roxio not Roxeo Sorry

Roxio as in the CD burner? There are native burners in the OS, There is even Brasero in the default install.

Can you help with this problem?
