Keylogger Tracker?

Asked by lrs52200

Someone signed onto my yahoo chat account and was pretending to be me while instant messaging people on my contacts list. I'm not sure if they put a keylogger in my system or if they achieved my passwords by other means.

Mine is a simple question, does Ubuntu have a keylogger tracker? I don't even know if that is what they're called but is there a program I can download that will "discover" any keyloggers on my system?

(I reinstalled my operating system hoping this would rid me of any keylogger present and also installed "Onboard" and use this whenever entering usernames and passwords)

Honestly I doubt very much you have a keylogger......

More likely your password got guessed/bruteforced by either someone you know (friend/enemy thinking it's funny) or dont know (script kiddies)

what I'd suggest you do is go ahead and change your yahoo passwords to something very secure numbers, symbols upper and lower case letters

use this tool to choose a secure password: http://www.grc.com/haystack.htm

also take note that recovery questions are another vector of attack....... if someone knows the answers to those question.... they can get in.....
