Lost search engine tool bar

I lost the default google tool bar. The text box is there, but no icon to the left. If I click on manage search engines, nothing happens.

I am using ubuntu with my firefox.

Greetings

I had the same problem once and i solved, executing:
rm -r .mozilla
In a terminal

This will erase your firefox personal configuration and the next time that you run firefox, it will load the default configuration
