to answer your request..the web radio station plays in Windows (Explorer) and it also plays in the
operating system Mepis, which uses Firefox as the browser.

WHy do we care what windows or meps do? We only care what Ubuntu does. You didn't answer my question.

Have you tried another browser in Ubuntu? in the same install....

no........I don't find a need to use another browser. Firefox comes with Ubuntu and I'm very happy with it.
as for the second part of your response.....I still have windows and yes it has its place and because of an interest in any different operating systems I also run Mepis...and yes it has its place in the schema of things also.
Do you have any suggests on how to corrent my original question, using Firefox as the browser?

Thanks

This is Ubuntu support and your issue is in Ubuntu with web plugins, so any other OS than Ubuntu isn't of value. If it was a driver issue then the Mepis situation would be interesting as hardware not working in Ubuntu but working in Mepis would mea there is a Linux driver for the device.

Install Chromium ad see if it works there, if it works then we know it is an issue affecting only Firefox. If it affects both then it is a system wide setting which is affecting the system. This is the very basics of fault finding, it is called 'isolation of the issue'

When you get a system issue, you will naturally turn to your colleague and ask if they have the same issue. This is the same mentality
